About Banaras Hindu University
Banaras Hindu University is the largest university which was organized by Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya in the year 1916. The university is the public central university is located in the city of Varanasi. The Banaras Hindu University was recognized by the University Grants Commission in India.
It is the higher co-educational institution formally affiliated with the Hindu religion. The Banaras Hindu University offers many various courses also programs leading to official recognized by the higher education degrees as bachelor degree, the master degree also doctorate degrees in the different area. It consists of 4 institutes, 14 colleges, 140 departments as well as 60 hostels.

The list of courses are offered by the Banaras Hindu University at different levels of education as mentioned below
- Arts
There are the 4types of courses as Masters, MA, Part-time Diploma, and Diploma. In Diploma consists of 3 courses and part-time Diploma consists of 2 courses.
- Commerce
It provides 5 courses as Bachelor of Commerce, Master of Financial and control and much more
- Education
It contains 10 courses such as Master, B.Ed, M.Ed, Ph.D. and more
- Law
There are the 2 types of law courses such as Bachelor of law with specialization and Master of Law. Bachelor of law with specialization contains 6 courses and Master of Law has 2 courses
- Management Studies
It contains 6 courses like the doctoral programme in management science, MBA and much more
- Performing Arts
It offers 8 courses like one-year certificate course in music appreciation, 3-year junior diploma in music and dance and much more.
- Science
It contains 5 courses as Bachelor, Master, MSc, M.A or MSc Master of computer application
- Social Sciences
There are 6 main courses of social science such as Master of Arts as Sociology, history, economics, psychology, political science
- Visual Arts
It provides 2 main courses like Bachelor and Master. In Bachelor has 3 courses and Master has 5 courses
Admission Process for Banaras Hindu University
An applicant who has passed the 12th class examination with 50% graduate marks and not more than 22 years old is eligible for courses offered through Banaras Hindu University BHU UET entrance exam. The undergraduate courses should have on basis of merit marks of the candidates. In BHU entrance exam and select the course is given at the time of counseling and verify the eligibility for the courses
Eligibility
- Those interested candidates in applying Under Graduate Courses should have completed 12th class with minimum 50% of graduate marks in the aggregate.
- Those interested candidates in applying Post Graduate Courses should have completed the 10th class, intermediate, degree with minimum 50% of graduate marks in the aggregate including all studied subjects at graduation level.
Here’s the simple process to apply admission for Banaras Hindu University
Registration process
- Visit the official website http://bhuonline.in/ of Banaras Hindu University
- Click on ‘Apply for Admission’ option
- Here, there is a various option such as UET, PET, SGS, RET, SET. Select the course which you want to apply.
- Click on ‘Online Application’ You will get the important instruction page as shown in below
- If you are new applicant then click on ‘Register Yourself’ option as shown in below image
- Then ‘Registration Form’ will open. Fill all the details which is mandatory that mark with ‘ Red Coloured Bullets’
- Then click on ‘Sign up’ button
- After successful submission of registration form. You will receive the confirmation message on the screen also receive a registered e-mail id and the validation code on your registered mobile number.
- The e-mail will have an activation link, you need to click on this activation link to confirm also complete your registration process.
- Click on the activation link then You will direct to the validation page in which you required to give the validation code on your registered mobile number. Enter the validation code and a generated Email Id as well as Password to complete the registration process
Login Process
- Now the Sign In the process, click on ‘Sign In’ button as shown in below image
- You will get the Sign In details. Enter email id and password then click on ‘Sign In‘ button
- You redirect to ‘Status of Submitted Application’ Enter Course type, course name then click on ‘Check Eligibility’ option.
- Fill the eligibility of courses then click on ‘Add Course’ button
- After adding the courses the ‘Status of Submitted Application’ from as shown in below image
- On the left panel, various option as Application Details, Upload photo also Signature, Test Center Preference has given
- Fill all the above section properly. After that, check the ‘Application Status’ as shown in below
- After application form successfully submission. You also take a print out the filled form for the further purpose.
Make Payment
- Then Click on ‘Make Payment’ option. You will get the ‘Select Application for Payment of Application Processing / Entrance Test Fee’
- Fill all the details properly then click on ‘Continue for Online Payment’ option
- You will get an e-mail message from the entrance test portal that your form submitted successfully.
- You can also take a printout of this e-mail and retain it for your own record and future purpose.
